i think that clowney is just fine, clowney's number 1 assignment is getting to the passer most plays, it really only hinders him trying to make tackles on screens and slants and what not.

Clowney destroyed my 98 Pbk Conklin this weekend. Was pissed because my Clowney did nothing to the effect of the guy I was playing running the exact same play

According to Clint at EA, High motor determines if your player will give up on a play, for example a long run, it’ll determine if your player chases him down the field

if their initial assignment is to rush the QB and the QB throws a quick completed pass a high motor guy will go to assignment 2 (making the tackle) with the same stats he was rushing the passer with, whereas you will get diluted stats from a player going to make a tackle on the same play with a guy without the trait. very important trait IMO.

Have you ever seen a DE get pancaked and get back up and then another just stays down on the play, I believe that’s the difference. Same as if you force a fumble, high motor player will try and get up and get to the ball. Non high motor just takes a nap
