QB draws and HB draws kill the spy. Just run right at the guy spying and 8/10 times they pick him up easy and it’s just beat one guy to the house. Spy is OP in the pass game but a complete liability on draws
I haven't thrown a pick to a spy but I've picked a few off with spies. It's from guys throwing bullet passes directly into them though. I didn't really think twice about it. I often spy D. Ware or Hendricks.
People complaining about DE spies, same guys run comeback route after comeback route and the same 3 runs, Its a game, quit crying.
Wagner seems to catch everything as a spy, but Hendricks is great this because of the height and as a DT Suh is great (on stuff like jumping he is +10-15 on most DTs.
Haha thanks for the tip! I just played 5 Season games to test this out and it works sometimes for some plays and most times on other plays. FS Zone Blitz making the FS QB spy instead of blitz picks it off a whole lot. And the worst one was this play that is a Zone Blitz that has both MLBs crossing each other blitzing in (Don't remember what it's called exactly). But if you put both MLB in QB Spy instead of blitzing in it was a pick 90% of the time... So glitchy.. And yes I quit all 5 games before my opponent had a chance to. Not a cheeser but was curious to see it in action. Definitely a problem that needs to be fixed.
Note: FS was Dawkins MLBs were TOTY Wagner and PO Hicks
Funny, this s3ason when the Saints and Vikings played, bother Cam Jordan and dude from Vikings got pick sixes on back to back drives.
Also, a spy is made to monitor the qb, if they are watvhing, then the pick will come naturally. Especially if your spyijg with Ted Hendricks or too tall
I've never had it happen to me, but I've had my Geno Atkins get like 2 or 3 picks this season lol
That’s the new cheese put your user in a qb spy and it makes the o line glitch out especially if you hover over the rg. Run motions and stay in the same formation to get the user to chase after your wr and he will back off
I had fletcher cox in a spy and he pick 6'd a dude in WL, man was he an unhappy chappy 😂 But yes it is also a good counter to quick crossing routes if you can apply pressure as well
Quote from stevenv333 >> It's something EA needs to fix. I mean how often in real football does a d lineman jump up and snatch a non-interfered bullet pass at the line? Like never. lol. They might tip the ball but that's about it. They're not going to catch a bullet pass from Rodgers right as he throws it. About the only time you see a defensive lineman intercept a pass is on a deflection.
Ahem, there's this gem too...
Quote from MattyRey47 >> How many times in the NFL do DT’s drop into a spy to begin with? Generally if there is a spy it’s a LB that does it or a really athletic 4-3 end... this is just a problem with the mechanic of madden, dropping a DT into a Spy should mean that you can run up the gut to punish them but it never really works out that way
I have had many games vs top 100 guys that run this and I run draws out of trip literally 20 times a game. Complete moron glitchers running this. Abusing horrible mechanics. These guys would be on their butts in a game if it was a run. Also they should have to get up, not pop back. I had a MHC give away and literally the only person anyone could get a video of in the past 10 years was Clowney spying from a 3 point stance.
The gunslinger chem makes this happen more often. The low trajectory. Sometimes I’ll smash a rushing end in the face trying to dump it to flats to quickly

i spy one of my dts as i run a 4-3 and its the most beautiful thing to see that fat af dt running with the ball

The tall spies are good at this.. I use 6’7” Ted Hendricks and he’s got a couple and a lot of deflections.. JJ Watt supposedly grabs a bunch too...
Ive been picked off by the spy no less than 6 times tonight throwing to a 15-20 yard post route. I’ve not had this problem before. I use tier 4 Rodgers and I hardly run with him to even make anyone want to put on a spy. It seems like every game I play someone that does this I’m getting picked off 2-3 yards from the line of scrimmage. Are people doing this now to counter the underneath stuff when they drop a MLB into the deep middle? Anyone else having this happen to them?
