I was just about to say this as well. I used him a few months back when I put UF Bo in the AH, and he plays much much much better than the stats on that card. He was an elusive, trucking machine just like his TOTW card.
Devin Funchess TOTW and Tavon Austin at receiver are two budget beasts. Jordan Dangerfield TOTW at Safety too.
Fleener has been the most impactful Gold i ever used . I can remember Wesley Woodyard being quite good as well

Not sure if you're adamant about Gold only, but I'd recommend STACKD JAX and CLE. You'd only have 1 Elite out of the 6, but it'd fill in your whole Defensive line. And the Jax Golds maxed are crazy good, especially Myles Jack.

I just started an alt about a week ago so I was essentially looking for the same thing. Names I added/considered: Martavis Bryant, Fournette, OT Vujnovich (sp?), PL Schweitzer, TOTW Nick Easton, Trai Turner, Eric Fisher, Soloman Thomas, Myles Jack, Iloka and Tarik Cohen.
I've decided to build an all gold budget beast team cause why not. Any suggestions for players?
