Simplified Explanation of How To Build an Offensive Scheme?
In for the answers. I usually just pick my favorite play. Have my favorite 5-10 plays. Lol. Never understood how to pick based off formations...
Here's my approach: I have around 5-6 formations I use outside the redzone and in each of those formations I use 5-6 plays. So up to around 36 plays in total. Basically my whole approach is to take what the defence is giving me. So if the run is on then I'll run, but if their crowding the box then I'll pass. I like to use spread sets as it's easier to read the defence and it also creates more space on the field to exploit with your playmakers. I do use a couple of compressed sets if my opponent is using a lot of man coverage.
My scheme is a passing heavy one. I play against the coverage so I have plays that I use to see what defense is he in for example, if hes in cover 1 I do motion slants. Cover 2 I do WR Corners, Cover 3 I do bunch trail & PA Crossers and for cover 4 I use mesh post. I can show you how I set up the routes to beat each coverage.

Not my post but reading your comment on the coverage beaters has me intrigued. I’d welcome the opportunity to see how you set up the routes to beat each coverage(s).
If I could develop just a small amount of confidence in throwing I’d be highly competitive. My running is top notch if when they know it’s coming. Currently 80% run based, looking to be a little more diverse. Any input would help!

I have been playing Madden since 15, I have never really able to understand what goes into a scheme. What should I look for in a formation when possibly building a scheme? I like to come out under center. I can find good run plays but I am stuck on passing plays. Any help would be appreciated.
