How do you decide what WR is best suited for the Slot and which CB is your Nickel?

Personally I probably over think most of this stuff but putting together the personnel unit is more complicated than just doing a Overall lineup. Just curious as to what makes your WR your Slot and if you put some thought into who mans the Nickel. 🏈🤟
