The man doesn't deserve respect AFTER continuously improving, growing, learning, apologizing and just overall working to redeem his self at least in the public sphere? That is some very poor comparisons to what Vick did. Imagine your kid letting out your dog in the back yard, the dog disappears. You find out later that Vick and his band of dousch bags stole the dog, tossed him in the pit so his dogs could warm up killing him. That's the things he did. You keep on defending him.
Only two reasons why anyone would defend Vick. They either don’t know the details, or they think that smashing a dog on the ground to death is completely ok.
