Muthead

Lol, this thread is hilarious. Here are the facts:

  1. Muthead and MUT.GG are third party sites. While they partner with EA on things like giveaways and player data (FYI, MUT.GG and Muthead both have access to the same data, MUT.GG just chooses to do more with it), EA does not own them. Nor are there any companies linking them together. Nor is either site a shell company of EA. I would challenge anyone to find that. Completely false. Muthead's leadership/ownership will tell you the same.
  2. Per number one above I have never told anyone that Muthead was run under EA. Again, go find that post. You won't be able to.
  3. Rocketz built Muthead. He left the company that owned Muthead and started MUT.GG. Wizzle was employed by Muthead and left to go work with Rocketz at MUT.GG. I have always volunteered my time with them (I have a separate career), and followed them as well. I'm not sure how Rocketz can steal anything that he designed, created, and built himself.
  4. MUT.GG has strong relationships with many streamers. A quick look at the volume of that site and the Discord will reveal why streamers spend time with the site. Just like there are many streamers and pros that spend their time with Muthead (i.e., FNF).
  5. If you understand how SEO works, then you will understand how spam bots work. We used to spend hours on MH clearing them. Now we spend hours on MUT.GG clearing them. It comes with any forum site. I can assure you that no one is targeting Muthead and "sending spam bots to have this site attacked".
  6. Where MUT.GG spends money has nothing to do with where Muthead spends money. Neither receive money from EA, and both are owned by separate companies. This sentence may make the least amount of sense of all of them. Also, both have separate mod teams. Again, just false narratives.
  7. I won't speak for Muthead, but MUT.GG is about community. We encourage respectful criticisms. But if you're there to just be toxic, you bet I'm going to reach out and ask you to stop. I would assume Muthead mods still do the same. That post has NOTHING to do with any of the other topics in here. I'm sure you can see the irony.
  8. As for access to the database and recent sales, you really should learn how APIs work. Your statements about "getting hacked" and "all hell breaking loose" are hilarious. Why not research how APIs work before making statements like that?

Not sure if these posts are designed to just elicit a response. But 95% of what's written is just so wrong. The facts are above. Sorry to ruin your conspiracy theory. And Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there. I hope you have a great day.

  1. What are you challenging people to find specifically? You said yourself that you have to maintain a "strategic relationship" with EA to get early (or frankly any) access to MUT/FUT data via APIs. These aren't open APIs, nobody can just query them to get all the data related to the player items / market. It's closed and clearly there is a licensing agreement in place between you (dba Stormstrike Inc.) and EA Orlando (dba Electronic Arts Inc.) There is a zero percent chance you were granted access to these APIs without a binding legal agreement between you all as affiliates / partners. You also have info / write-ups based off of much deeper information than is presented on GMM, so again, you have a relationship with EA to obtain this info to drop exact details on promos right on (or before) they are released.

  2. "Run" I believe was verbiage used because, as noted, without API access the site(s) wouldn't exist. You have to bow to them to maintain this access, it isn't open. if EA said that in order to keep your API keys, you would need to do X, Y, and Z, and couldn't talk about A, B, & C, you absolutely would need to follow their orders to maintain this relationship.

  3. On one hand fair, on the other, clearly relationships between you / Rocketz and EA were such that they no longer kept their exclusive API access/license with Muthead, but also also granted access to MUT.gg. I think there's a misunderstanding on how this was negotiated or allowed without any "linking" as you would say.
  4. ok.
  5. ok.
  6. Correct, you (dba Stormstrike) do not receive money, you receive exclusive access to APIs. From a licensing perspective, I would guess that again (per #1) this comes with a legal agreement or licensing agreement, otherwise if this was open, you would have tons of competitors.
  7. Fair, but you are very edgy over there bro. You deleted a post because I called out someone for falsely claiming they picked 12 draft picks correct. I wasn't even derogatory or rude, I just asked them to post a screenshot because we all knew it was a lie. How? Because EA maxxed out reward tiers at a lower number.
  8. I'll take this one. Based on your Git, clearly you know about coding / APIs and you are an engineer as well as CEO. Getting hacked is a fair statement... I would've used a different term, but I'm not sure what you are trying to get at here around API security. You clearly would know your keys could get compromised or a hundred other things could happen (either on your side or EAs) from vulnerabilities or random zero days. My guess is that what you are trying to say is that EA has only exposed read-only API access, such that even if it was compromised, it would only present a competitive disadvantage to you and Muthead as opposed to actually affecting the market itself.

All this being said, I'm surprised you never commented on the DB leak that happened at Easter. Clearly you (and limited MUT.gg / Muthead staff) get information on cards before they are going to be released. What precautions are in place to ensure that this info isn't then leaked to streamers or other people such that they can make advantageous market moves ahead of the actual drops? It's been less of an "invest" year without Power Ups, but what did you do in the past to gate this information?
