Back to Why Fortnite's new ranked mode is important for MUT

Everyone starts in Bronze 1. You only play players in Bronze 1. If you win the Super Bowl in Bronze 1 you move to Bronze 2 and can never go back to Bronze 1. Now you only play players in Bronze 2. Rinse and repeat. The better division you are in the better rewards, similar to now. I lost interest in MUT this year because I just wanted to play casually and I was getting matched up with demons.

Cliffs

  • Make 24+ ranks

  • Only play people in your rank

  • Only move up rank by winning the SB

  • Can never go back to a lower rank

You don't get it. You are matched with demons because EA wants you to upgrade your team and spend money doing so.

If you are having fun winning 60% at Bronze 3 all year with a mediocre team that is not what EA wants. EA doesn't care about you having fun at all. If they did they would ban people that cheat like other games do - EA doesn't ban people for the most blatant of things. That is prime example that EA does not care about your enjoyment. The only thing EA cares about is did you log in today and are you going to buy a pack?

EA would have no interest in your idea because it doesn't involve buying packs or pushing people to do so. Also it has a major flaw in that what if you went half way up the ladder the first month of the year and then don't play the game for 3 months. Then you are stuck playing teams way way way better than yours and have no chance ever? Like I said this is not fortnite this is more a casino game.

And their way resulted in me quitting MUT and just playing Kmac's money CFM's.

To your second point, if I was climbing up the ladder and then took 3 months off, I wouldn't be playing demons when I got back. The demons would be in levels way past me.

Their way was enhanced this year more than any other year by adding 0 AP abilities everywhere making it almost impossible to play h2h without either playing all the time or spending money. Based on this ladders would be more closely associated with how good a person's team is vs their skill level. And then based on this you might be super happy playing on level 12 with a mediocre team. However EA won't be happy with your happiness. They want you improving your team to drive pack sales. So this has zero chance of happening.

And my example above works - you don't get it. Lets say you have an 86 OVR and you are on level 12 and leave for 3 months. You get back and its an average of 94 OVR with way better abilities. You will get absolutely smoked by worse players that have better teams and you will hate game even more - nothing worse than losing to a far worse player.

Also it doesn't even make sense for madden. Let's say I get to level 24... I want to play a game... I just sit there and wait for 20 mins to get matched? I just keep playing the same dudes over and over?

You keep saying "you don't get it" but I'm telling you the reason I quit MUT was the matchmaking/level/rank system. And I am 100% their target demo. I've been playing Madden since 4th grade, have disposable income, have NFL+, play 5-10 hours of video games a week.
