To me the easiest is to have Simmons as RDT2 so he is on the field in nickel and BNOG and if for some reason I don’t want him but rather a run stuffer I manually sub him out.
Also annoying is that in Nickel 3-3 the DE are the normal ones so for me I use Ware as RRE but still need to manually sub him in.
It seems definately hardcoded for each formation which position they take from which lineup slot so you have to manually adjust if you want something else … or just play on if the sweat is not on and accept an off position
