I agree with that. I'm all for the freemium games that are F2P but incentivize purchases to speed up the progress and eliminate effort. That makes sense. But what they are quickly turning into is a game where spending doesn't just accelerate the rewards, it offers completely different rewards that you can't get without spending, regardless of how well you play the game.

I see your point, and agree, which goes back to my point: if they would just make a better game then they wouldn't have to come up with all these silly ways to manipulate the customer in order to make money.

If it all plays out in a way that is endgame for the FTPs, and those same FTPs quit the game rather than spend money, then it could be endgame for MM. Something EA has stubbornly refused to get about this game, about modern gaming generally, is the community of it. If the only ones left are spenders, the community gets whittled down, and then what's left?

Again, we'll see.
