I was forced in a situation that punting would be the safest move in the game and the game did not come out in the right formation to counter that giving them a chance to actually win if returned and ran one back for 6 but regardless of if it was right or wrong so I’m confused by your reply ..what point are you trying to make here ?
Yeah, it's totally unrealistic. Most teams just run a QB sneak if they're that worried about it. You have a much higher chance of getting a safety if you try punting from the 1 yard line than you do of running a play.
And they always stay in a normal defense if you come out in punt formation on a non-punting down. This is the weakest complaint about Madden I've ever heard.

I don't know what you're babbling about now, but the game doesn't call timeouts when it's down by more than 17. So...there's that.
But that also wasn't what you were initially winning about. You were whining about how they come out in a regular defense when you put on 1st down. They'd almost certainly come out in base defense on 1st down on your own 1 no matter what formation you came out in.

But this is Madden where nothing is realistic and a loss of yards on a QB sneak is common and a punt block is very uncommon. So you made the right call.
