There is accuracy thresholds as well. Vick can hit either deep threshold of 90 or mid threshold of 85 depending on how you chem him up. It essentially makes him have way less inaccurate passes. Other factors are considered as well. More than likely the lower OVRs have low carry stats meaning even tho they fast they will fumble more than Vick.
Hahaha. Knock on wood I haven't had too many issues but I don't run too much with him. Fatigue plays a huge part in fumbles I noticed after the whole bench press thing kept WRs low stamina. So maybe thats part of it or I been lucky time will tell. Although a Big Ben with HRM would make me honestly weigh my options about switching.
1) Thresholds are different this year than last year.
2) Difference being below or above them vastly less than last year.
So, for example, difference between, say 82 and 92 Deep or Medium Accuracy is basically so little as to not be noticeable.
There are many stats now in Madden that really don't matter; people that spent coin to have high numbers for these stats on their cards will really, really, really fight the idea they don't matter and will try to fool themselves that they do.
I think really we could argue both ways that the stats don't matter or not and trick yourself into believing one way or the other.
I feel like with Lamar every so many passes I would eventually get an Accurate pass reading on the bottom but the pass would be out of reach for my WR esp if I would try to change the placement of the ball with the stick. After switching to Vick I don't notice this nearly as much and when it does happen its not to the level of Lamar's misses.
I also put Play Fake on Vick instead of Go Deep so he hits 85 mid acc and I could get diff WRs to 90 MRR to see if they got more seperation on their cuts like corner routes. Its def noticeable there but its totally different stat which you did mention some matter. Thresholds may not be as important for accuracy as they have been in the past but Lamar 100% overthrew or missed receivers downfield much more often Vick.

Fumbling more than Vick? That's impossible.
