I've been top 100 in W/L on multiple occasions this year and still scarcely spin unless it's for a change of direction on returns and even then I usually use the highly under utilized one cut mechanic. If you have players with 90+ juke they can get past 2 defenders back to back easy with quick stick skills.
Not a top 100 player, but lots of years here - juke gets me past almost every 1st tackle attempt while rolling w/ RB or return man. Spins not so much this season.

That route running burns defenses. And this is Madden 20, not 19 spin isn't that great.
If you don't have abilities on spinning is the only possible way to get by someone unless you have god tier stick
I have no issues with jukes and stiffs myself. Just depends who has the ball for me. Even trucks work well for me. Spins just don't.
Anyone who plays the game semi-competitively would agree that spin is very useful this year
