3-4 and 4-3 use completely different players.
3-4 you need one NT that can stuff the run, 2 big boys at DE (usually slow and with high BKS), 2 MLB and 2 OLBs that can rush the passer (high BKS and PWM/FNM)
4-3 you need 2 DTs (you can keep the NT from your 3-4 scheme as DT2 and add a passrusher at DT1), 2 fast DEs with high PWM/FNM, 1 MLB (you can keep one of yours) and 2 high MCV/ZCV OLBs.
I understand that part of it. My football knowledge is pretty decent so I understand the setup for the different defensive schems as far as a 3-4 and 4-3 but I wasn't sure how to swtich from a 3-4 to a scheme that includes a 4-3 with the use of a 46 at times. Do you have any advice on specific players I should sell form my current 3-4 defense and pick up that can work for both a 4-3 and 46?
