I didn't read the entire thread, just the first page.. so maybe this has been pointed out already. In case it hasn't, here's my take:
The problem with letting them get away with charging for the game is where does it go from there? Sure, perhaps at first pack odds are better and the micro transactions are reduced, but this is a corporation that not only wants profits, they demand profit INCREASES every quarter. So before you know it, the micro transactions are as bad as they are now, and next year were paying 19.99 for the app.
