I’ve noticed this recently. Guys are loading the box to defend the run and at the snap outside linebackers are flying to the sideline defending short out Routes due to having high zone, high speed and play rec.
In regs it’s not nearly as effective so I don’t think it’s a “Madden” problem. But when you have all these high overall players out there it’s going to be like that.
If if you play DC or Salady Cap things like this aren’t nearly as bad and gameplay is actually a lot better.
