Two things I'm going to mention on this, the middle receiver ran a vertical, a 9. Your inside corner for some god forsaken reason didn't "match" the inside receiver like he should have if you were in Cover 4, I saw this right away. The inside corner played the outside receiver, are you sure you didn't adjust this yourself presnap and put him in man on the outside receiver (basically doubling down), because it sure as heck looks that way.
Second, if you had not made that adjustment and ran a vanilla cover 4 the inside corner would have stayed on the vertical, and allowed your SS to make a better play on the ball. Look again the safety played the sticks just like you told him to, but since your inside guy was not there he got beat/burnt over the top, like he should have in theory. Next time you see that I suggest don't get exotic and leave it vanilla, try to force a better rush and maybe just maybe your SS makes a better break on the ball with "protect the sticks"
