What EA needs to do honestly is completely scrap the power up program as it is. Make every core gold and above essentially act as its own “power up". Items can be upgraded in the same way they are now except there would also be a way to also do it without players getting in game upgrades. You'd buy or earn upgrade tokens that you can apply to ANY card you choose. Example would be Maddox from the Eagles. You could have him sitting at a 97 - 99 ovr right now if you so chose to use upgrades on him instead of him stuck at 80 because EA sees no reason to upgrade him.
EA could figure out a way to merge the franchise leveling system with MUT in an organic way that still maintains the excitement of new items and different players while adding a much better and much more fun theme team building experience.
The reason is in the caption..."beyond most user's knowledge"....how many users know players beyond 20yrs? NOT many.
I don't even see Dez Bryant, Jason Witten, Brian Orakpo...etc... They just came out with a 3rd card for Jalen Ramsey when he's a top corner today.
I"m 41 and as great as it is to see John Elway ( where Troy Aikman ), I rather focus on current players more.
Because no one wants those guys!
Dez sucks, sorry but it's true and we have 20 other players with the same build and style as him that people actually want!
Whitten is easy, he ruined his chances of Mut cards this year by being one of the most annoying and stupid announcers ever in football.
Elway is still in the game of football so of course EA gonna use him. Broncos fans love the fact they can use their GM as a QB, I don't blame either cause that's actually really cool! In that respect where the EFF is John Lynch?????
