The fact that people are saying the Patriots didn't earn their six SB rings pisses me off. I bet if I said that about the Steelers, people would start sending me death threats, so why is it okay to rag on MY favorite team?
Ignore it. It’s a coping mechanism.
Most fans that aren’t delusional and love the game of football itself respect the Pats dynasty for what it is.
I hate it but I can't really argue with it. Will always argue the Brady VS Rodgers debate though.
In my opinion, the 2018 Patriots are one of the worst teams to win a SB. Take that how you will. They were a different animal in the playoffs but during the regular season....they were not a championship quality team.
The fact that they still won is a testament to Bill and Brady. But I think it showed that they are massively slowing down.
They're always a different animal in the playoffs. If the NFL keeps them out of the Playoffs, hallelujah. If not, that's another ring about 65% of the time lol.
Aaron Rodgers was talking about all the QBs who chugged beer faster than him. He said "finally something they're better than me at" 😂😂😂
I dislike Rodgers but that was an outstanding quote
I'm glad people are taking it the way it's meant to be taken. I think he spent his entire career trying to play politics and keep people out of his business and it's made people think he's a douchebag. I think it's a sign of the new management and new coaching that he's starting to cut loose and have a little fun and speak his mind. it's good for the league, given how chatty and responsive the other QBs seem to be towards each other now.
Just saw a list of the players who completed the most passes of 50+ air yards. Didnt look anything like I'd expect.
1. Mitch Trubisky(6)
2. Kirk Cousins(5)
3. Deshaun Watson(5)
4. Case Keenum(5)
5. Russell Wilson(5)
6. Aaron Rodgers(3)
7. Patrick Mahomes(3)
8. Carson Wentz(3)
9. Matt Ryan(3)
10. Ben Roethlisberger(3)
didn't even know kirk and keenum could throw a football 50 yards
😂😂😂 Keenum being tied for 2nd blew me away
I didn’t even know we threw the ball further than 10 yards once all year....
Keenum was also in the top 5 in terms of QBs with the most 4th qtr game winning drives during the last season
One of the dumbest kept stats ever, don't even get me started.
Why is it a dumb stat?
Maybe because the amount of opportunities varies for each qb.
^This. If you lead a bunch of really, really good offenses, you don't need 4th quarter comebacks or game winning drives. It's like saying here's a stat for being good, but not too good. Really stupid imo. Just look at the career list of 4th quarter comebacks. Roger Staubach and Steve Young have less than Ryan Tannehill. Kurt Warner is tied with Blaine freaking Gabbert. It's the same deal with game winning drives. Both are stupid stats that don't have any significance on who is better.
I also dislike these "Broadcast Stats." Stuff commentators can muse on between plays because they lack the personality and knowledge to fill the gaps.
Completion % on 3rd down when trailing in the 4th quarter
Completions of 50+ Yards in the air
Completion % when throwing off back foot
Just, all kinds of weird, arbitrary, conditional and flukey stats.
Cleveland will host the 2021 draft. KC will host the 2023 draft
I’m a big fan of the draft being held in different cities. Obviously I’d like The Twin Cities to get one for conveniency but KC or if GB got one or if it came back to Chicago, they would all be a pretty easy drive for me.
I'd love to see GB get it. IMO, great location, very wide open and lots of room to do it. Especially with Lambeau as the background? Easy choice for the future imo. Hope it's possible. Would buy tickets for sure.
The history of the league would be a pull for it also I think. One thing that might hold them back is do they have accommodations for 600K+ in the surrounding area? I’ve never been there but I’m hoping to do a road trip out there in week 2 this year.
The Green Bay area is bigger than people give it credit for. The city itself is geographically small but it's surrounded by places like De Pere, Appleton, Ashwaubenon... There's some large areas, not necessarily huge, but it could happen. Think about how many people come to town for the day just for Packer games. I'll admit it's a stretch. But if Nashville can have people just standing out in the street, GB can do it in the parking lot (lol).
