What’s up Muthead? What an incredible few weeks it has been since the launch of Madden NFL 18. So far Madden Ultimate Team has seen TOTW, GOATs, Power Ups, Weekend League, Gauntlet Unleashed, Journey, and so much more and now the time has come to talk Team Leaders.
For a lot of you who are passionate and dedicated enough to take time to read a post like this, you’re also likely to have seen that Team Leaders was something that was captured and shared out prior to Madden NFL 18 releasing. The team behind producing MUT content always puts our best foot forward when it comes to capture events knowing full-well that the community will expect to see exactly what their favorite YouTuber put out in a video.
But around the time of the capture event, we started to receive feedback that the Team Leaders program was confusing and had a few problems. The team took that feedback and began to make some iterations which ultimately meant a portion of players who were previously chosen as Team Leaders had to be replaced.
So with that little bit of an intro, let’s talk about how Team Leaders actually works. Each team has a 16-game solo challenge sequence. Each sequence will have team chemistry gates the deeper you go. By the time you get to the last 4 games of each team’s sequence, you will need 12 total players from that team to pass through the final Team Chemistry gate. After you accumulate enough players and defeat all the solos in that sequence, you will open a Fantasy Pack that allows you to choose one of five 80 OVR NAT Team Heroes.
With the Team Leader Solo Challenges giving you the opportunity for one Team Leader from each team, the fact is you’ll still want to get the other 4 players as well. That’s where the Team Leader Sets come into play. These Sets give you the ability to open up that same Fantasy Pack and choose any of the other 80 OVR Team Heroes. The only things needed to complete these Sets are 1x Gold Team Token and 1x Silver Team Token (of the specific team you’re trying to complete). The reason you’re going to want to collect all of the 80 OVR Team Heroes from each team is so you can play in the Elite Team Leaders sequence. Winning those last 3 games will allow you to open one final Fantasy Pack containing the same 5 Team Leaders, but this time you get to choose one player who is a NAT 86 OVR.
One last note before we share who the Team Leaders are from each team. We wanted to offer a reason to do more than just one or two Team Leaders. So we have added two masters, one for each conference – Khalil Mack and Odell Beckham Jr. Both of these players are 93 OVR and are fully auctionable/tradeable. Each time you complete an Elite Team Leader sequence, not only will you get to choose your 86 OVR Team Leader, you will also receive a collectible that serves as a proof of completion. Finish all the Elite solo sequences from one of the conferences to earn the appropriate master.
Here’s a breakdown of the five Team Leaders from each of the 32 teams:
