I like the challenge. Hate the return for losing. With Conquerors the return for a loss was better. I lost an event because the game decided my oline was going to get ran over. I should not get fucked over due to the AI.
It's unfortunately the nature of gaming forums. I love when a game has an active forum (that isn't reddit) because it gives people the opportunity to talk about the game and strategy and "how-to's" (thanks Rshoots and paulbeezy!). But at the same time it also gives people the platform to complain and then allows other people to feed on that negativity and it just snowballs from there.
Bottom line is that no matter what EA puts out, someone will complain. It's too hard, it's too easy, it's too short, it's too long, it's too much of a grind, it's not enough of a grind, the players are too good, the players are not good enough, the boosts are too good, the boosts are useless, these players would not help me, these players now made my old player too weak and tanked their AH value, etc... I've literally seen every single one of these complaints here since I've joined, which wasn't that long ago.
The only way to add a player that is an “improvement” now is to evaluate all stats after boost and figure out which stats are frozen by archetype. Most cards/teams are maxing out between 103-105. At this point, we’re looking as closely at height, weight, card art, and player name as possible deciding factors on who to keep and who to cut. At the minimum, you can at least sell a powerline player, or the player you removed for them.
