Series 4 Overview: Master Brandin Cooks

Series 4 was added to Madden Ultimate Team today which includes new level rewards, player items, sets, solos, and missions. The maximum MUT level has been increased from 70 to 80 and all Series 3 Trophies have been converted to Series 4 Trophies (100 S3 Trophies=50 S4 Trophies). A new Collectible for Coach Madden can be found in the Store for 1,000 Series 4 Trophies (6 total). Check below for a breakdown of what's new in each category:

Level Rewards

The following rewards are unlocked at each level:

Level 71- Unlock 2 different packs in the store.
-Offensive Pack: Costs 15,000 Coins or 1,240 Training. Choice of an 86 Core Elite Offensive Player.
-Offensive Premium Pack: Costs 350 Points. Choice of an 88 OVR Core Elite Offensive Player.
Level 72- Gamechanger Pack
Level 73- Level Master Holt Upgrade Token and New Level Challenges
Level 74- 40,000 Coin Quicksell
Level 75- 93-94 OVR Power Up Pass
Level 76- Unlock 2 different Packs in the Store.
-Defensive Pack: Costs 15,000 Coins or 1,740 Training. Choice of an 87 Core Elite Player.
-Defensive Premium Pack: Costs 350 Points. Choice of an 89 OVR Full Legend Player.
Level 77- Gamechanger Pack
Level 78- Level Master Holt Upgrade Token and New Level Challenges
Level 79- 40,000 Coin Quicksell
Level 80- 95 OVR Power Up Pass

Players

Masters

The new Series 4 Competitive Master is Brandin Cooks. He can be acquired through the Store for 2,000 Series 4 Trophies or 1,050 Series 4 Trophies for his NAT version.

MUT 20 Level Master Torry Holt can now reach 96 OVR. Level Master Upgrade Tokens are earned at MUT levels 73 and 78.

Gauntlet II

Once you reach 100 Stars in the Gauntlet (details below under solos), you are rewarded with a Gauntlet II Fantasy Pack where you choose one of the following new player items:

These items are not currently Power Up eligible but will be PU eligible once they are fully upgraded later in the year at the completion of all Gauntlet releases.

Series Redux

With each Series update, the LTD player items in the previous Series will be available in packs as non-LTDs. The non-LTD player items will have different borders/stamps and the LTD icon will be removed. The player item will no longer quicksell for 250,000 coins but quicksell for the appropriate amount of training based on the player items Overall (OVR). If you already have a LTD item from a previous Series, it will be unaffected by this update. The following list of LTD player items from Series 2 and 3 are now available in packs:

Veterans

In addition to all Series 4 content, EA added 2 new player items to the Veterans program. Check out the new items and their ratings below:

Lewis and Jenkins can be found on the Auction House or in Veterans Packs which cost 2,000 Training in the store. Each pack contains an 86+ OVR Veterans player item. Click the following for a full list of Veterans.

Sets

The following new sets have been added with Series 4 to Ultimate Team:

91-92 OVR Elite Exchange: Trade in 3x Elite Players (89-90) for a random Elite Player (91-92 OVR).
Gauntlet II Exchange: Turn in your G2 Player as well as a 75-79 OVR Player to choose a different G2 Player.

Solos

Level Challenges

There are two new solo sequences available in the Level Challenges section:

  • Rushdown: 4 Challenges, MUT Level 73 Required
  • First Down Town: 4 Challenges, MUT Level 78 Required

Gauntlet II

Gauntlet II was released today with Series 4 and includes the following solo sequences:

  • Rookie- 10 Challenges, 50 possible Stars, Earn up to 15,000 Coins.
  • Veteran- 10 Challenges, 50 possible Stars, Earn up to 15,000 Coins.
  • Legend- 10 Challenges, 50 possible Stars, Earn up to 15,000 Coins.

10 Stars- 78+ OVR Player Pack
20 Stars- 78+ OVR Player Pack
30 Stars- 12,000 Coins
40 Stars- 78+ OVR Player Pack
50 Stars- 78+ OVR Player Pack

75 Stars- G2 Upgrade Token (Use this item to upgrade your G1 player to 92 OVR)
100 Stars- Gauntlet II Fantasy Pack
125 Stars- 30,000 Coins
150 Stars- 83+ OVR Player Pack and Gauntlet II Expert Token

Missions

There are new Series 4 Multiplayer missions that reward you with Series 4 Trophies for winning online games. Completing the full list will reward you with an additional 100,000 coins. The following is a breakdown of rewards earned at each tier:

Win 5 Online Games: 30 Series 4 Trophies
Win 10 Online Games: 30 Series 4 Trophies
Win 15 Online Games: 30 Series 4 Trophies
